How to keep your SFG credential current
You put in the time and effort to earn your SFG Instructor status; don’t let it slip away! In order to continue to have access to your Instructor Only site, with exclusive content created for and available to our Instructors, the Instructor apparel store, an Instructor listing on the website and access to special discounts with our partners, please select one of the recertification options below:
- Attend the 3-day Level I SFG
- Attend the Level II SFG
- Accept an Assistant Position at an SFG Level I
- Attend a One-Day SFG Recertification
- Video Recertification
- Unified Recertification
1. Attend the 3-day Level I SFG
Cost
$500
Eligibility
You need only register for the SFG prior to your cert’s current expiration date, to qualify for the recertification price of $500. This means that if an event is listed for December, for example, but your cert expires in October, you’re okay to attend for $500 as long as you are registered before October. There is no maximum length for this carryover.
Procedure
Email the Certification organizer from the event’s registration page to request your recertification code for that particular event. Remember: You must be registered prior to your cert’s expiration date to receive the recert rate of $500.

You will attend all three days, just as if you were going through for the first time.
2. Attend the Level II SFG
Cost
Cost as shown on the SFG II schedule page and registration form.
Eligibility
You need only register for the SFG Level II prior to your cert’s current expiration date, to qualify for attendance. This means that if an event is listed for December, for example, but your cert expires in October, you’re okay to attend the Level II as long as you are registered before October. There is no maximum length for this eligibility carryover.
Procedure
You will be asked to upload a photo of your current Level I SFG certificate during registration, so that your eligibility can be confirmed. Please make sure this is legible.
Details
Retesting of your Level I skills are a required portion of the Level II. Please see the Level II SFG Requirements for more information.
3. Accept an Assistant Position at an SFG Level I
Cost
If you are invited to attend the SFG as an assistant, you will pay no tuition. (You will be responsible for all of your expenses, however.) If you are already registered to attend and subsequently accept an assistant position, that tuition will be refunded to you.
Eligibility
You must have held your Level I SFG credential for no fewer than 9 months at the time you apply to assist. Instructors who have been recommended to assist by their Team Leader are given priority.

4. Attend a One-Day SFG Recertification
Master SFG Instructors arrange special One-Day SFG Recertification events a few times each year. Successful completion of this dense one-day event extends your SFG credential for two years and gives you our latest progressions and correctives.

You need only register for the One-Day SFG Recertification prior to your cert’s current expiration date, to qualify for attendance. This means that if an event is listed for December, for example, but your credential expires in October, you’re okay to attend as long as you are registered before October. There is no maximum length for this carryover.
Procedure
You will be asked to upload a photo of your current Level I SFG Certification during registration, so that your eligibility can be confirmed. Please make sure this is legible.

5. Video Recertification
Rather than appearing in person to test out your technique and update your instruction skills, you can receive this personal evaluation with a Master SFG via Skype or FaceTime, with 90 minutes to discuss programming, correctives, or other individualized materials.

$299
Eligibility and Details
You must submit your Video Recertification registration prior to your credential’s current expiration date to qualify for this option. This option will extend your SFG credentials for two years after the video testing date. This option cannot be chosen in succession for your next recertification. (You must choose one of the other options before again recertifying via video.) A new manual is not included with the video recertification option.
You may write in your preferred Master Instructor within the form (or, if left blank, one will be assigned to you). Once your registration submission is received, your Master Instructor will contact you to schedule your video session. The session is LIVE real-time via Skype or FaceTime. You’ll have 2-months from the registration submission date to complete your recertification.
